Mod Post: Offical End Of 2021 Round!

Well, it's been tough at times, but the 2021 round of WIPBB is now at an end. We had a lot of great fics submitted and a lot of great art, and there seems to be a lot of people already preparing for the next long round.

I know there were some bumps in the road with miscommunication this round. For the next long round, the FAQ are going to be rewritten to incorporate questions and changes brought up in this round. We may start artist Sign-Ups earlier so artists have to do at least one check-in with where they are on the art they signed up for. And I'm definitely going to try and get all the mods to post updates on the Discord as well as LJ and Dreamwidth and Tumblr, so that events like Word Wars and Whine Bars are better utilized.

If there are any other suggestions, please feel free to let us know! This was a rocky round, but I hope that further rounds will be easier.

On a personal note, thank you to everyone who helped me with the various catastrophes I was dealing with this round. I still owe art and it will be done either when I get a new laptop or I can afford to fix my mother's, which she'll let me borrow. If anyone wants to help still, I spend $40 a week on gas picking my son up and dropping him off for weekends (he's miserable in his current living situation), so prepaid Visa cards would be a godsend. I also have more cleaning items, wet cat food and a few higher priced things on the list, including a new laptop (which is more on there for me to buy when I have money, but if someone could get it I'd be most grateful). The list is here or my PayPal is here if anyone wants to help that way.

Other notes:

  • 2018 bang dates and the promo post should be up in the next week. If you'd like to make new banners for this round, please send me a PM or email.

  • I will be emailing those who indicated they'd be interested in being a mod in the next couple of days. If you'd like to help behind the scenes this year, please send me a PM or email me.

  • Responders showed a preference for Dreamwidth and Tumblr. As such, we will be looking into switching our primary base from Livejournal to Dreamwidth.

*I have not included all of the results in this post bc I figured most ppl would not interested, but if you are (or just want to see full-size charts), leave your email and I'll be happy to email you a copy!

2017 Follow Up Survey

Here is this year's feedback survey!

There are about 17 questions (only 4 are required) about everything from whether you did fic or art to if we should have art minimums. I'm not sure how long it will take to complete (my guess is less than 10 minutes), but I would really, really appreciate it if you could all complete the whole thing. Even if you had to drop out or didn't end up posting, I'd like to hear from you! It's very important to me to see how things went this year and how things can be improved in the future.

All answers will remain anonymous, though I will put together some stats later. If you have any other concerns that aren't addressed in the survey, feel free to ask them here (not screened) or send an email to wipbigbang@gmail.com. There is also an option at the end for any comments, questions, suggestions, etc. and if you leave your email or username there I will reply to you privately. The survey will close on December 31st.

Thank you! :)
