How I Lost My Shit: This fic is the third in a trilogy of fics all set in the same universe. I had originally thought I would post this fic second, and then come back and write Harry and Draco's backstory as a prequel. I was really stuck on how this fic would flow, and I realized it was because I needed to first know what happened between them all those years ago, before I could tell the story of them coming back together.
How I Finished My Shit: I posted the prequel to this, Not Just When You Want to Be, in March this year. As it doesn't have a happy H/D ending, I knew I wanted to try and get the sequel out this year if possible, but I wasn't feeling a ton of drive. And then
wipbigbang came along, and suddenly I had deadlines! A finish-by goal! And I got moving. :D
