When I Started: Back in 2006--and I was planning to post the chapters as I wrote them. Yeah, that didn't work out so well. Did manage one chapter for another challenge a couple years ago.
How I Lost My Shit:I'm a horribly slow writer to start with and I now know that if I'm doing a chaptered fic to make sure it's entirely written before I start posting it. It didn't help that CSI itself went to crap--first with Gil hooking up with Sidle (I'm sorry but WTF?) and then, um, the big one, killing Warrick off. *sigh*
How I Finished My Shit I love deadlines (especially the whooshing sound as they fly by). But no, having an actual date I HAD to be finished by along with a word count was very helpful. I have a few fics that would've benefited from this, but this story was the one I really wanted to finish...and I did!
