When I Started  This was originally written as seven drabbles in May 2019, with the intention of turning it into a 10K casefic as the next in my Oxford Tales series.  I began to write last autumn, but it didn't make much progress and was temporarily abandoned.
How it went  I had originally planned to keep close to the drabbles, but it soon became clear that a plot sketched out in 700 words wouldn't work for 10K, so alterations had to be made.  The plot also became more complicated, so bringing it all together was an interesting challenge, but I stayed true to the original concept of a dead body found covered in blossom, although not blossom from the nearby trees.

Artwork is by my friend [personal profile] kat_lair who I approached to produce a book cover.  I'm absolutely delighted with it, especially as it feels like one of a series.
