Art Title: Art For "In Death, Sacrifice"
Fandom: Dragon Age: Origins (Awakening)/Critical Role (Campaign One)
Warnings: None
Link: Fic | Art: Tumblr / AO3
Bragging Rights: This one was hard, as I'm not familiar with either fandom aside from what crosses my Tumblr dash, but I had so much fun. The banner has the two characters owlmoose wanted in a graphic together,
Vax'ildan & Mahariel, with the colors most associated with them. I had fun messing with layers and textures for that. The wallpapers are all of The Deep Roads with text from the fic and the Dragon Age: Origins logo color overlaid on it, and you have three choices: black font, DA:O logo color without a filter and DA:O logo color under soft light. I loved all three versions so I decided why not post them all, but the two without filters are easier to read the amazing prose from the fic which I highly recommend reading.

Story Title: In Death, Sacrifice
Fandom: Dragon Age: Origins (Awakening)/Critical Role (Campaign One)
Link(s): https://archiveofourown.org/works/20368510
Summary: When his sister is overtaken by Blight poisoning, Vax'ildan bargains with the Raven Queen for her life. But is he ready to accept the terms of the deal?
Warnings: Mild violence and characters in peril
Characters: Primary characters are Vax, Vex, m!Mahariel, and Percy. Other characters with significant roles include Scanlan, Kashaw, Keyleth, Nathaniel Howe, and Kima.
Pairings: Basically gen, with implications of potential Percy/Vex and Vax/Keyleth.
The Story of the Story: This story was initially inspired by fanart of Vax in armor that resembled the Deathwalker's Ward-- except that it was emblazoned with the symbol of the Grey Wardens. I started writing it in early March 2019, close enough to the opening of the WIP Big Bang that I hadn't yet lost momentum, but it became clear early on that I was going to struggle with completing this story if I didn't have any structure. I knew this challenge would provide that structure, so I jumped on it, and I finished about a week before my posting date.
