Feel free to submit your completed mini-bang fics to the Tumbr and/or Dreamwitdth sites for posting now!

Between February 15th and February 22d, there is a specific form we would like you to fill out to post your fanworks. It allows you bragging rights for finishing your fic/art, and also links to the location of your fic (it should be up somewhere like AO3/FF.net/your personal Tumblr under a tag/any other fic or journal community) in its completion. We also have an AO3 collection for this round where you can post the AO3 postings of your fic and art to when you are finished posting new chapters.

These are the bragging rights form for WIPBB Mini Bangauthors:

Story Title:
Fandom:
Link:
Summary:
Warnings:
Characters:
Pairings:
When I Started:*
How I Lost My Shit:*
How I Finished My Shit:*

You can submit your post to either Tumblr (by submitting the post) or Dreamwidth (by adding the post to the queue) or both sites as early as you like and we'll queue it to post on the date you've claimed. Don't worry about tagging posts; we will use a system we've determined.

And don't worry, artists from the 2024 round who didn't post their art in time, we've got you covered, too! You get your own separate post, though you are welcome to just have your author post your art on their post if you want. If you don't plan on making your own separate post to the comm, you still must do the final posting check-in. In this post, you can share things like this for the WIPBB artists:

Art Title:
Fandom:
Link: (or you can post the art here, too!)
Warnings:
Bragging Rights: *

Your posting day is all about you. So celebrate! Don't be modest! Shout it to the world! We all come from so many fandoms, but we all came together to finish our shit, and that's something to shed a proud tear over.

* This part of the bragging rights is totally optional; if you don't want to include it on your post you don't have to.

On the day you choose to post your bragging rights (between February 15th, 2024 and February 22nd, 2024), there is a specific form we would like you to fill out to post your fanworks. It allows you bragging rights for finishing your fic/art, and also links to the location of your fic (it should be up somewhere like AO3/FF.net/your personal Tumblr under a tag/any other fic or journal community) in its completion. And here is an easy-to-copy format with HTML formatting for Dreamwidth:

(You will have to delete the

FAQ

What is the WIP International Fanworks Day Mini Bang?
Good question! This is an informal Mini Bang meant to finish stories between 500 and 7,499 words in time for International Fanworks Day.

FAQ )

I have a question/concern that’s not mentioned here.
If you need help, you can always contact a mod and we will do our best to make sure that you get your story/art finished. The best and fastest method of contact is through our email, wipbigbang@gmail.com.

I am so sorry it took a week to post this; I have had a huge amount of RL issues to deal with. But here we go!

To celebrate International Fanworks Day on February 15th, we hold a mini-bang where there's no art for the fics and all completed fics should be under 7,500 words (aka the minimum word count during the regular bang). You have one month to complete said fics, and then from the 15th to the 22nd you use the same Bragging Rights form we use during the regular round to post to the community. There's also an AO3 collection to add them to.

There is no need to delay posting for a specific posting date; as long as the fic is finished by the 15th, you can post it anywhere you like and then post the bragging rights to Tumblr or Dreamwidth.

If you have any questions, feel free to send an ask or contact me on Discord via the WIPBB Discord chat.

We've got two weeks until International Fanworks Day and the reveal of our WIP Big Bang Challenge! I'm so so excited about the response we've gotten so far for it; there are already several fantastic fics in the collection. But there's still plenty of time and I would love to see even more!!

So who's working on something for WIP Big Bang Challenge?? Are you still trying to decide if you want to do something? Picking out a project? Finishing one up? Stuck on something? We'd love to hear from you!
