Story Title: For Science
Fandom: The 4400

Summary: Casefic with smut. Post-series story dealing with the aftermath of the promicin outbreak and what it's like in a city where nearly everyone has an ability. Meanwhile, with their separate love lives imploding, Marco and Diana decide to join forces in some personal sex research (for science!).
Warnings: Discussion of sexual abuse in the context of a casefic, television-level violence (Nothing bad happens to Diana, I promise. The last chapter is literally titled "Diana Lives Happily Ever After".)
Characters: Diana Skouris, Marco Pacella, Jed Garrity, Abigail Hunnicutt, April Skouris, and a few others but those are the main ones
Pairings: Diana Skouris / Marco Pacella
When I Started: At least five years ago. I know this because when I posted a story in 2013, I mentioned this story in the notes because I expected to have them finished around the same time.
How I Lost My Shit: Oh, Lord, this story got way too convoluted and it's got time paradoxes and action scenes and I just gave up. (Real life was sapping my energy at the time too because I think this was around the time I switched jobs.)
How I Finished My Shit: ...by the skin of my teeth and after a lot of whining and procrastination. (I got the last chapter uploaded with only a few hours to spare.) THANK YOU FOR THIS CHALLENGE!!! Without the reminders and encouragement, I never would have finished this and even though it's for a long-dead fandom and only a handful of people will read it, I feel so much better having it done. The fact that I gave up on this more than halfway through has been nagging at me for years.
