Author Sign Ups are Closed!  
 The sign up period for authors has come to an end! We had 176 sign ups, which is about the same as last year. If you signed up and haven't received a confirmation email, please email us at wipbigbang@gmail.com with your username/email/etc. so we can confirm your sign up. A post will go up in the next few days where you can discuss your fic if you'd like some community support/involvement/etc. I'm so excited to see the awesome fics you all finish this round :)

We still need artists though! The artist interest form will remain open until May 21st. If you know any artists who might like to create art for the bang, please point them our way!

ETA: Over the years we’ve had to change the way we’ve done confirmation emails due to changes made in google forms. This year has brought up a very interesting issue: 

Confirmation emails come from Google Forms, not WIPBigBang@gmail.com. 

I know in the past it’s come from the official email -those were always coding nightmares (I’m not actually a programmer, I just hashed together a bunch of tutorials and crossed my fingers). This year google added the ability to just flick a switch and have it send you a confirmation. So please double check before you message us that you didn’t get form submission receipt from Google Forms (forms-receipts-noreply@google.com).  

If you didn’t get an email from Google Forms I don’t mind checking for you to make sure you’re sign up was received, but I need to know that it’s not working so I can either complain to google, or we will go back to the coding nightmare(s) next year.

I'm apparently doubly-insane because I just signed up as an artist too (already signed up as an author). I assume you will remind us frequently about deadlines? I would accomplish nothing in life without people reminding me of deadlines.

Whoo, that's awesome! There will be regular-ish check ins, as well as the weekly whine bar to give reminders about deadlines. They'll be posted here, as well as on all our social media platforms.

Clarification: Should we be looking for a confirmation email beyond the "you completed this form" one that the google form sends out? Because I've received that, but not any other.

The one from the google form is the one to look for! We're relying on the form this year since doing individual confirmations to all participants takes so long.
