Your snippets are due on Saturday, May 25th at 8:59pm CST, so we’re going to go ahead and start collecting them. This doesn't mean your story has to be complete right now (though you should have 80% of it done by July 6th), it just means we're collecting snippets for when your artist claims you.

This year, snippet submissions are working a little differently than in years past. We are using a google form to streamline things, which should make things easier both for you as participants and us mods. To submit your snippets, you will need the email and check in ID* you used to sign up. You will also need to include information about your fic and three snippets. The only required information other than snippets is fandom, pairings/characters, and summary, but the more information you include the better as this is the only information potential artists will see to decide if they would like to claim your fic for art. Your snippets should be between 500 — 1500 words EACH. They will help your artist match the tone of your work, so try to pick excerpts that really encompass the tone and feeling of your story.

Failure to send us snippets or an email by May 25th will NOT drop you from the big bang, but you will not receive art for your fic. If you are bringing in your own artist or would like to opt out of receiving art, please let us know even if you’ve talked to us already. You do NOT have to send snippets if you’re bringing an artist or opting out.

*You should have received an autogenerated confirmation of your sign up with your check in ID if you need to double check what you used, but if you didn't or lost it, please email us at wipbigbang@gmail.com and we'll find that info for you.
