How I Lost My Shit: Probably got distracted by another project
How I Finished My Shit: the WIP Big Bang was the deadline I needed. I had to rewrite a few bits - mostly with Black Hands - to better being non-binary and genderweird and then it was just a few scenes to finish off.

So after talking it over with vtsuion​, who had hosted the last actual Original Fiction event that we can think of like WIPBB, I decided that in the 2023 round, we’ll change the FAQ to allow Original Fiction. But we’re also going to allow it this round, if anyone who had original fiction wants to resubmit it (we had four people sign up with Original Fic this round, but I wanted to offer a second chance to them first, and then the rule applies to everyone next round).
