Story Title: Theraputic
Fandom: CSI: NY/Law & Order
Link(s): AO3
Summary: In Danny's eyes, the hits just keep on coming...though this particular hit may turn out all right in the end.
Warnings: None
Characters: Emil Skoda, Danny Messer, Mac Taylor, Don Flack, Lindsay Monroe, Lennie Briscoe
Pairings: Danny Messer/Lindsay Monroe
When I Started: August 2006
How I Lost My Shit:Basically I started this fic and did a few updates until the season 5 finale, the only finale I’ve had to not be sober to watch because they killed one of the characters I was incredibly attached to. After a few episodes of season 6, I gave up on the show and the fandom pretty much until the very last season, but never went back to this fic.
How I Finished My Shit: My New Year’s resolution was to take the 100+ WIPs I had and get them to about the halfway mark, which at the time was 60. I could have just stuck with a bunch of my Sherlock fics but I wanted to finish off a few older ones, too, and this was one of the ones I picked. It helped the weekend before I finished it I saw an old episode of CSI: NY early in the morning and it reminded me of how much I loved the earlier seasons, so I sat down in one sitting, wrote the remaining chapters, and then filled in the rest of the needed words in various chapters to hit the minimum word count.
