How I Lost My Shit: I was rewriting "The Empty Hearse" for this episode and was having trouble figuring out how to incorporate the basis of this AU into the episode.
How I Finished My Shit I got a hold of the transcripts page for this show and downloaded TEH's transcript, and that helped so much. Once I had the actual words and actions from the episode to base my AU on it got so much easier to writer it, and I think I was done in about a week of starting.

How I Finished My Shit: Signing up to this event, begging and pleading with the muse, and writing a crazy number of words in a sudden and large burst, listening to the music and hoping for the best. And an amazing beta/idea partner.

When I Started: I posted the first chapter of this fic July of 2012. I remember being super excited by the idea, and the story was going gangbusters.

How I Lost My Shit: My head got turned by a new-to-me fandom, and all my enthusiasm for my vamp fic bled away. ::grins:: I tried to carry on, but the words just dried up. My final update was August of 2013, and this fic has been hanging over my head like a black cloud ever since. This is why I try to never post WIPs anymore.

How I Finished My Shit Last year (I think) I was complaining to a friend of mine about this fic and how I wished I could finish it. She said I may as well consider it abandoned. Challenge accepted! I managed to scratch out another chapter, and then stalled again. When WIP BB came around this year again, I was determined to finally finish this thing. And it was even harder than I expected it to be. I finished the final chapter mere days before posting. Whew!
